So cozy. :D Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteI would love to snuggle down in this bed come autumn, with a little fire in the grate to keep off the chill!
DeleteWOW! How wonderful to see all your beautiful embroidery come together in a room. I can only imagine how many hours you spent stitching all those lovely, lovely pieces. How proud you must be and rightly so. :-))
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Catherine...it's is nice to see things come together finaly, though I still have t finish off the bed curtains, and make a rug for the floor... but it's getting there!
DeleteBella la camicia da notte! ❤️
ReplyDeleteTi auguro buon Ferragosto! :-)
Hi Jonquil! It sure is hard to imagine those cold drafty nights in the middle of hot summer! Your bedroom is looking so serene! I LOVE your embroidered box and the sampler... not to mention the flowers and the furniture! This is a room I think we all Dream of.... climbing into that bed and drifting to sleep and waking again with the sunrise! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteSuch fine embroidery. It really is lovely to see it all together in one room. The whole scene looks beautiful =0)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite things about your bed, is that the mattress appears soft and comfortable and that the linen looks like it's slept in. Some beds are so hard and stiff looking and like they are only for looking at, but your looks inviting! And I imagine that the linen is dried outside in the sun and draped over the lavender beds so that the fragrance permeates the sheets. :))
ReplyDeleteAnd you embroidery Jonquil..... It is past Perfection! I adore the little box and the sampler above it, not to mention the nightgown and cap on the door. and the exquisitely embroidered pillows on the bed... All of them are tiny works of ART!
The whitewashed walls have the serenity of a convent, but your displays of all of this Incredible needlework, is fit for a Queen!

Your bedroom is so beautiful. You always seem to find the right fabric for your rooms. I also love your sampler and the stump-work box. You are very gifted at needlework. If only you could rent out your room and I could stay awhile. Jayne
ReplyDeleteGorgeous room, so much atmosphere. I love the lilies, they are the perfect finishing touch, adding just a little springtime freshness.
